We partner with experts across the industry, guided by empathy and insight, to advance health for everyone.This role works the Day Shift (Monday – Friday; 9:00am – 5:00pm) and includes starting pay of $31.00/hour.The impact you’ll make in this roleAs a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for supporting production operations, ensuring quality standards, and contributing to a safe and efficient plant environment.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance of fork truck, material handling and custodial equipment, both powered and non-powered.Performing general maintenance of facility building and property.Following all safety policies and housekeeping guidelines to ensure a neat, clean, efficient and safe work environment (may include possible hazardous material spill cleanup).Working closely with engineering groups and outside vendors to assist with fork truck and material handling equipment design and debugging.Attending meetings and training as required both internal and external of the plant site.Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.Required Qualifications:Possess a technical degree in a maintenance fieldORPossess a High School Diploma/GED or higher AND two (2) years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment“Nice to Have” Qualifications:Prior experience operating powered lift equipmentAbility to work at heightsAbility to work overtime or holidays as neededOSHA 30 Hours CertificationPossess knowledge of hand and power tools, fabrication principles, basic welding processes, mechanical symbols and nomenclature, mechanical processes and design standards.Possess computer skills to manage multiple equipment and projectsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsGood communication skillsWork Location: Onsite - 806 W Crystal Lake Rd, Forest City, IA 50436Travel: Not required for this positionRelocation Assistance: Not authorizedLegal & ComplianceMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.Manufacturing Operations:This position sits within Solventum’s Manufacturing Operations, specifically at one of our global production facilities, where our teams play a hands-on role in bringing life-changing healthcare solutions to life.
