Lab Technician

Lab Technician – Healthcare. Contract on W2. U.S. citizen or green card holder required. Located in Warwick, RI. Duration 12 months, total hours per week 40, 1st shift. Client: Medical Device Company. Responsibilities Provide hands‑on technical skill and engineering support to design and development project activities on new and existing products, including fabrication of prototypes, small‑scale and large‑scale sample builds, and utilization of sewing and ultrasonic welding processes for experimental concepts and feasibility evaluations. Participate in executing technical and cross‑functional project work, including sub‑assembly and finished device build and testing to support the engineering of robust and manufacturable products. Develop and execute test methods specifying measurement equipment, test set‑up, measurement system analysis, and data analysis. Write detailed technical reports based on design verification analysis and testing for design changes and product design activities. Ensure compliance with client quality policies, procedures, and practices as well as all local, state, federal and client safety regulations. Demonstrate ability to utilize statistical tools and computer analysis. Follow instructions provided by Project Technical Leadership. Clean lab supplies, glassware and operate glass washers, dryers, and autoclaves. Assist with removal and disposal of waste chemicals. Provide training support for onboarding and new procedures. Follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Follow all client housekeeping and safety policies and procedures. Work overtime as required to meet client business requirements. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications BS degree in Engineering required (Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred). 0–2 years of engineering experience, preferably in medical devices. Ability to utilize statistical tools and computer analysis. Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel and laboratory mechanical test equipment required.
