Finance Specialist

DTAC Facilities (Hybrid / On-site as needed)
Full-Time | Exempt

Position Summary

The Finance Specialist supports DTACs financial operations with a focus on accounts payable, accounting support, rate management, and financial analysis. This role ensures accurate financial processing, maintains strong internal controls, and supports leadership through reporting, reconciliations, and rate-setting activities.

This position plays a key role in maintaining financial stability, audit readiness, and rate accuracy across behavioral health programs, including IBHS and ABA services.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Match invoices to contracts, approvals, and rate schedules
• Maintain organized AP records for audit purposes
• Resolve vendor discrepancies and respond to inquiries
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs

Accounting Support

• Assist with month-end close activities (accruals, reconciliations)
• Support general ledger review and variance analysis
• Maintain financial documentation and schedules
• Assist with bank and account reconciliations
• Support preparation of financial reports

Rate Management & Financial Analysis

• Maintain and update payer and program rate tables
• Support rate-setting through modeling and financial analysis
• Implement updated rates following contract changes
• Monitor systems for rate discrepancies and resolve issues
• Provide reporting support for payer negotiations

Compliance & Audit Support

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and funding requirements
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Maintain audit-ready financial documentation

Cross-Functional Support

• Collaborate with Contracts, Operations, and Leadership teams
• Support budget tracking and expense monitoring
• Assist with special finance projects

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or finance support roles
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, reconciliations, tracking)
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and PHI information

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or Medicaid-funded environments
• Familiarity with contracts, reimbursement models, or payer rate structures
• Experience supporting audits or financial reviews
