Golf Course Maintenance Mechanic

POSITION SUMMARY: The Mechanic repairs and maintains all equipment associated with the Golf Course Maintenance Department by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lubricates and services all golf course maintenance equipment.
• Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies.
• Repairs and adjusts equipment.
• Maintains repair records on all equipment.
• Trains maintenance staff on the proper use of equipment and the correct maintenance methods.
• Demonstrates the use of new equipment.
• Maintains safety procedures for all equipment and keeps required records.
• Trains operators on the care and use of new equipment.
• Performs general overhaul and other preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Adheres to standards and guidelines, as set by Management.
• Other duties, as assigned by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance, Head Superintendent/Project Manager, Equipment Manager, AGM, COO

Education / Experience

• Must have at least 3-5 years of Golf Course experience.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to learn or use a grinder effectively and be proficient or the ability to learn to at work with commercial golf course and grounds equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally.
• Ability to understand, interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
