We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality concrete finishing work on a variety of construction projects, including commercial, residential, and restoration sites. Your expertise will help ensure smooth, durable, and visually appealing concrete surfaces that meet project specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your craft in a fast-paced environment that values safety, precision, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and texturing using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute concrete layouts and specifications
- Install rebar reinforcement and formwork to support concrete placement according to engineering standards
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools to facilitate efficient pouring and finishing processes
- Ensure compliance with construction workplace safety regulations by adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform concrete pouring, curing, sealing, and surface treatments to achieve desired finishes and durability
- Assist with related tasks such as drywall installation, caulking, tile laying, stucco application, metal stud framing, flooring installation, and renovation work as needed
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in concrete finishing and construction sites
- Proficiency in construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints
- Experience with concrete forming, cutting, pouring, finishing, and rebar installation
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and proper use of hand tools and power tools for construction tasks
- Ability to read construction plans accurately and follow detailed specifications for various projects
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Skills in working on diverse construction projects including restoration, heavy lifting tasks, drywall work, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, metal stud framing, flooring installation, tile laying, and concrete pumping
