Current Engagement Overview Immediate interim accounting engagement support a PE backed company through month end and year end close. This role requires a self‑starter who has experience working on project based / contract based engagements and can hit the group running. This role is based near Allen Parkway in Houston with convenient access to downtown, the Galleria, Memorial Park, and major freeways. Key Responsibilities Complete or review account reconciliations Participate in the month end close and year end close process Work closely with the Controller and CFO to support the day to day accounting function Must be within commuting distance to the office as this is an in office role Ability to begin engagement by mid December and not require vacation or paid time off beyond the standard office closings for the holidays Qualifications A minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience and experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller or Controller. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Prior consulting or project-based work preferred. Background working in a complex, multi‑entity corporate environment Hands‑on approach with strong execution, critical thinking, and Excel proficiency CPA a plus, but not required Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills In addition: Willingness to comply with UHY comprehensive background check including including credit, MVR, and education, criminal and felony records Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Why UHY Resource Solutions W-2 employment with a variety of consulting work.
