Duties As a Privacy Officer, GS-15 you will perform the following duties: Manage, develop and apply the formulation of privacy requirements for the organization, including the collection, use and dissemination of personal information; Present and coordinate the organization's privacy initiatives with a variety of internal and external constituents, including the media, industry stakeholders, and various offices or programs within the organization; Performs long-range planning and analysis of new substantive agency programs where precedents are scarce or nonexistent. Effectively communicates initiatives with a variety of internal and external constituents which includes the media, industry stakeholders, and various offices within OHS and other federal agencies, on policy issues relating to individual privacy. Prepares short and long-range planning guidance in accordance with broad program policies and objectives Conditions of employment You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Recommending, drafting and developing new privacy policies, procedures and guidance for a large, complex organization dealing with the applicability, integrity, and impact on programs, operations, and technologies; Coordinating efforts impacting privacy amongst interested parties and authorities into a single unifying program or project; and Developing metrics and tracking documents for demonstrating programmatic success, progress, and needs to higher level officials.
