Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,050 per week

Certification Details BLS (American Heart Association only) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist License Job Details Registered Respiratory Therapist position working 36 hours per week, nights and every other weekend (EOW). Unit: Respiratory at Salem Hospital, a 371 licensed bed facility with 220 Med/Surg beds, MICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, Level 2B Nursery. Must have ventilator experience in an acute care setting. Skill sets required include Associate's or Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy and ability to draw arterial blood gases. Rotation includes day position that may rotate to 11a-11p when needed; night position is straight nights. EMR system used is EPIC. Clinician to patient ratio: 5 Respiratory Therapists on day shift, 5 on evenings, and 4 on nights. Day shift staffing includes 1 charge, 2 assigned to 20 bed ICU, and 2 assigned to Med/Surg floors. Equipment used includes PB980 Ventilator and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator. Job Requirements 2 years of experience working in one location. 1 to 2 years working as a traveler. Must have ventilator experience in an acute care setting. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy. Ability to draw arterial blood gases. Required certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist License. Schedule Information 36 hours per week. Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend (EOW) required. Day shift may rotate to 11a-11p when needed; night shift is straight nights. Unit Specific Information Unit: Respiratory Additional Details Must have current BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) only; Red Cross not accepted at Salem Hospital. Fit test for N95 respirator required within 365 days of start date and updated annually; no exemptions allowed. Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required as part of fit test. Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity required. TB test documentation required within 3 months of start date and updated if break >6 months. Physician health statement required within 365 days of start date and updated if break >6 months. Criminal background checks and CORI checks required within specified timeframes. Resume including past 7 years of work experience required for submission. Two references required within 4 years, including at least one supervisor. Skills checklist must be completed within 1 year of submission. Education verification required. Social Security Number trace and national sex offender check required. Exclusion checks for OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid required. Name change documentation required if applicable. TB symptom survey required if positive PPD.
