Lead Structural Engineer

Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction across industrial, power, commercial, healthcare, government, and other facility types. Provide technical leadership, oversee design quality, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects meet client, schedule, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis through all project phases.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Review vendor submittals and coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and staffing.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and resolve complex design issues.
• Conduct field inspections and support construction activities.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development efforts.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, and compliance with codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Structural Engineering (or related field) with 7+ years of experience, or MS with 6+ years.
• EPC project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, AISC, ACI, and ASCE 7 design codes.
• Experience leading structural design on large projects and managing workloads.
• Skilled in QA/QC reviews, problem-solving, and technical leadership.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and engineering/design software.
• PE license preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
