Red Badge Outside Machinist
CTR Group is seeking Outside Machinists with Active Secret Clearance for a Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. Maintenance and repair of machinery. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing necessary repairs to ensure the efficient operation of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect machinery to identify defects and malfunctions
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on various types of machinery
- Utilize precision tools and instruments for measurement, calibration, and alignment
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Collaborate with team members to optimize machinery performance
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed apprenticeship program or relevant technical training
- Proven experience as an Outside Machinist in an industrial setting
- Must have submarine experience. Share relevant experience in VLS, Weapons Systems, Fairwater Planes, and Sail.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Stamina and physical strength for prolonged periods of standing and manual labor
- Flexibility to work in various environmental conditions
