We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide to support high-quality resident care in a nursing home setting. This role is ideal for a professional who is dedicated to safety, accuracy, and resident dignity while working closely with nursing staff to help ensure medications are administered properly and care routines are followed consistently.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents according to facility policies, physician orders, and applicable regulations.
• Observe residents for responses to medications and promptly report any concerns to nursing staff.
• Assist with daily resident care tasks as assigned, while promoting comfort, safety, and dignity.
• Document medication administration and related observations accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support the nursing team in maintaining organized, efficient resident care routines.
• Follow infection control procedures, safety guidelines, and all required compliance standards.
• Respond professionally to resident needs, questions, and concerns within the scope of practice.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked care environment.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide as required by state regulations. Med Manager Certification is not accepted.
• Previous experience in a nursing home, long-term care, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of medication procedures, documentation, and resident safety practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Dependable, compassionate, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional standards.
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the role, which may include standing, walking, and assisting with resident care tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting elderly or medically complex residents.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and responsive in a fast-paced care environment.
