AWS Neptune Data Engineer

Job Summary: The AWS Neptune Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain graph-based data solutions using AWS Neptune. This role focuses on extracting data from enterprise data platforms, transforming relational data into graph models, and implementing scalable, secure ELT pipelines. The engineer will work closely with data platform, analytics, and architecture teams to deliver high-performance graph solutions. Location: San Antonio Experience: 7-10 Years of Relevant Experience Key Responsibilities: • Analyze data sources, tables, and relationships from Snowflake or relational databases • Design and implement graph data models including nodes, edges, and properties • Build secure ELT pipelines to extract data from Snowflake and load into AWS Neptune • Store and process intermediate datasets in AWS S3 • Transform relational data into graph structures using DBT • Implement and manage AWS Neptune graph schemas • Optimize graph performance by creating indexes and refining schemas • Review query patterns and tune graph models for scalability and efficiency • Automate ELT workflows using DBT and Snowflake • Collaborate with platform and analytics teams to align graph solutions with business needs Required Skills & Experience: • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Neptune • Strong experience with Snowflake data warehouse • Experience in graph data modeling and schema design • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3 and IAM • Experience using DBT for data transformation • Strong SQL skills and data analysis expertise • Experience building automated ELT pipelines • Understanding of data performance tuning and optimization Competencies: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and performance Preferred Skills: • Experience with Gremlin or SPARQL query languages • Knowledge of graph analytics use cases • Experience in cloud-native data architectures • Familiarity with Agile or DevOps delivery models
