OurCare of Connecticut is hiring Homemakers and Companions in Westport, CT for short-hour shifts.

OurCare is a registered Homemaker Companion Agency in Connecticut dedicated to helping seniors and individuals with disabilities live independently and comfortably in their own homes. Our compassionate caregivers provide non-medical support, companionship, and household assistance to improve quality of life and bring peace of mind to families. The Homemaker/Companion plays a vital role in enhancing wellbeing for individuals in need of support within their homes. This position involves providing companionship, assistance with daily routines, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients.

Due to client preference and care-matching needs, male caregivers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18 years old

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Previous experience in a caregiving or companion role

· Reliable, trustworthy and compassionate

Job Responsibilities:

As a Homemaker/Companion, you will provide non-medical services such as:

· Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support

· Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and cleaning

· Running errands, grocery shopping, and accompanying clients to appointments or social activities

· Monitoring client’s safety and reporting any concerns to agency and/or family

· Encouraging client independence while providing a supportive presence
