Quality Engineer

Location: Coshocton, OHCleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer in our Coshocton, OH facility. The ideal candidate will have prior steel industry experience or be open to working in the steel industry, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with complex operations.Summary of Responsibilities:Manage trials for development of new products and processesParticipate in the management of material flow through the disposition of distressed material in accordance with customer and internal standards and business imperativesCollaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and other technical resources to drive resultsSupport Sales / Quality Department order entry processes (RFQ, Spec Review, Capability)Monitor quality of Coshocton products and processes by spot checking material, observing processes, and providing feedback to relevant departmentsCross train to fill vacancies, special coverage needs, and other assignments as they ariseOther duties as assigned based on business needsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or closely related disciplineAbility to coordinate and execute a multitude of projects with minimal supervisionData analysis skills necessary for data driven decision makingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSolid computer skills including Microsoft Office productsPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical, and Materials ScienceExperience in steelmaking or metals5 + years of experience in a similar roleRelocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates from outside the local area.
