Senior Technical Program Manager, Data Intelligence and Governance Job ID: 3197238 | Amazon.com Services LLC We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Data Intelligence and Governance team. This role is at the heart of Amazon's foundational Security and Data Governance systems and is responsible for driving the delivery of highly scaled AI solutions in the space. The right candidate has deep technical knowledge, business acumen, a security‑first mindset, and highly effective written and verbal communication. Effective candidates demonstrate the ability to: Dive deep into complex problem spaces while maintaining focus on larger strategic objectives. Build trust and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes with partners through transparency and delivering on commitments. Communicate clearly and candidly to distill complex topics into simple terms while respecting diverse ideas. Key Responsibilities Partner with security and engineering leaders across Amazon business and security teams to work backwards from customer security outcomes, design initiatives to achieve those outcomes, and drive delivery against those commitments. Operate amid ambiguity where problems and strategy may not be defined; deliver clarity by leading teams and collaborating with partners to define strategic vision, influencing program and product roadmaps. Apply strong business and technical acumen to make data‑driven judgments and influence product, program, and architecture decisions. Support engineering teams in driving business and program reviews, aligning with stakeholders, and establishing mechanisms to continuously improve execution. Represent complex decisions, trade‑offs, and potential solutions clearly to senior security and business leaders, verbally and in writing. About the Team The Data Intelligence and Governance team works closely with Amazon’s Security organization to build and maintain high standards of security across all Amazon products and services. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of technical product or program management experience. 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams. 3+ years of software development experience. 5+ years of technical program management working with software engineering teams. Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management. Experience managing projects across cross‑functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules. Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi‑million‑dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership. The base salary range for this position is $148,700.00 – $201,200.00 USD annually. Salary and compensation package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
