LTC Unit Manager (RN) – Full-TimeNow hiring a dedicated LTC Unit Manager (RN) to lead our long-term care unit and oversee high-quality, resident-centered care! This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to make a real impact in residents' lives.Location: 111 Orient Avenue Boston, Massachusetts, 02128 United StatesShifts Available: Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional weekends or on-call coveragePosition Overview: The LTC Unit Manager (RN) provides leadership and clinical oversight for a designated nursing unit, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations, Massachusetts DPH requirements, and facility policies. This role supervises nursing staff, coordinates resident care plans, and supports a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous quality improvement.Key Responsibilities:Lead, coach, and evaluate RNs, LPNs, and CNAs assigned to the unit; oversee daily staffing and scheduling.Provide leadership during surveys, audits, and inspections; ensure CMS and DPH readiness.Promote teamwork, respect, and resident-centered care within the unit.Assess residents' health, review physician orders, and monitor nursing interventions.Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans and ensure timely documentation in the EMR (e.g., PCC).Oversee infection control practices and adherence to standard precautions.Implement QAPI initiatives and monitor key quality indicators (falls, pressure injuries, infection rates).Ensure accurate completion of MDS assessments and care plan meetings in collaboration with MDS coordinator.Provide in-service training, competency checks, and mentoring to nursing staff.Serve as primary contact for families, physicians, and ancillary providers regarding resident care.Participate in daily management meetings and contribute to emergency preparedness planning.Qualifications:Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.Minimum 2–3 years clinical experience in long-term care or subacute rehabilitation; prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.Familiarity with CMS regulations, MDS process, and DPH survey standards.Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency with electronic medical records.Physical & Working Conditions:Ability to stand, walk, and move intermittently during shifts.Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and assisting with resident transfers.Exposure to infectious diseases and biohazard materials with appropriate PPE.Why Join Our Team?Competitive salary based on experienceComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid time off and holiday payShort- and long-term disabilityOpportunities for professional growth and career advancementSupportive, team-oriented work environmentApply Today!
