Shift Details

Schedule: 3x12 Hour Day Shifts (07:00 - 19:30)

• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (flexibility may be required based on unit needs)
• Floating Requirement: Required as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry nursing
• 3 years of experience required for first-time travelers
• 1 year of EPIC experience is mandatory
• Required Certifications:

  • NIHSS
  • SC RN License

Patient Care Overview

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care and telemetry monitoring to patients with cardiovascular conditions in a 32-bed unit.

• Focus on managing inpatient care for Heart Failure patients
• Arranging post-hospitalization care and services

Special Procedures

Nursing care responsibilities include:

• Continuous EKG and oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry
• Administration of intravenous and oral medications for cardiac conditions and arrhythmias
• Preparation and transfer of patients for cardiac procedures and diagnostic tests

Patient Care Philosophy

RNs in this role provide holistic care addressing the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs of each patient and their families.

Unit and Staffing Information

• Staffing Type: Self-scheduling
• Patient Ratios: 4 patients per nurse
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 32 beds
