CMS Consultant Location: New York, NY Salary: $180,000 - $230,000 per year We are seeking a seasoned CMS Consultant with 10-15 years of experience to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of digital content management solutions. Key Responsibilities Assess and advise on appropriate content management systems (Optimizely, Contentful, ContentStack, Strapi, WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore) based on client needs. Plan, execute, and oversee content migration projects, including upgrades, refreshes, re-platforming between legacy versions, and use of migration tools and AI-based content & asset migration. Collaborate with product teams to design product-specific APIs that integrate with service layers such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Apigee for dynamic content management. Implement digital experience platforms (DXPs) to create personalized, seamless customer journeys aligned with business goals. Utilize web analytics and content analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, DOMO) to measure content performance, extract insights, and inform strategy. Advise on SEO strategies to improve content visibility and trustworthiness for search engines and users. Engage stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and communicate findings to ensure alignment and adoption. Drive growth opportunities with a commercial mindset, using value‑based conversations to expand accounts. Required Skills 10-15 years of experience as a CMS consultant or solution architect. Expert knowledge of headless and traditional CMS platforms. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills. Proficiency in content architecture, taxonomy, information architecture, and IA design. Experience with content migration tools, AI content migration, and re‑platforming projects. SEO strategy development and implementation. Familiarity with digital experience platforms and integration with API service layers.
