Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The registered nurse will provide specialized emergency care in a high-acuity, Level 2 Trauma Center. The role involves managing a fast-paced ER environment with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency treatments and monitor patient conditions to ensure prompt and effective care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including vaccine requirements and travel compliance standards.
• Float between units as needed, providing flexible patient care support across the department.
• Participate in ongoing training modules during orientation and annually to maintain clinical competencies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of ER experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications (pending acceptable).
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours) in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department.
• EPIC proficiency required for electronic health record documentation.
• Must have completed at least 2 antibody tests (PPD and Flu Vaccine).
• Willingness to travel and work some holidays and weekends as scheduled.
