Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy operations manager role is available within a 300-bed regional medical center’s inpatient pharmacy. Reporting directly to the Director of Pharmacy, this position is essential for ensuring smooth daily pharmacy operations in a busy healthcare setting affiliated with a major health system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, serving as the right-hand to the Director of Pharmacy
- Coordinate and oversee employee scheduling to maintain optimal staffing levels
- Address and resolve operational issues promptly as they arise throughout the day
- Collaborate with pharmacy and hospital leadership to streamline processes and enhance patient care
- Utilize Cerner pharmacy IT systems effectively to support operational workflows
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Proven experience managing pharmacy operations in an inpatient hospital setting
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record and pharmacy management systems
- Ability to work independently while supporting team goals and objectives
- Effective communication skills for working with interdisciplinary teams and staff management

- Oxnard area near Ventura, CA
Schedule and Contract Details:
- Contract position with the goal of transitioning into a permanent role
- Start date flexible but aiming for an immediate hire
