Position Summary

As a PRN Weekend Companion Caregiver with SYNERGY HomeCare of Conover, you will provide companionship, social engagement, and non-medical support to clients in the comfort of their homes. Weekend caregivers play an important role in helping clients remain safe, independent, and connected while giving family caregivers peace of mind.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Engage clients in activities, hobbies, and social interaction
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Provide medication reminders
• Accompany clients on walks, errands, appointments, or recreational outings
• Assist with organizing household tasks and maintaining a safe environment
• Observe and report changes in client condition to the office
• Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and team members

Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable, and patient
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to work weekends consistently
• Previous caregiving experience is helpful but not required
• Must pass a background check
