Traveling Driller (260001G0) Key responsibilities include: Champion Safety – prioritize safety per MSHA and Vulcan standards, ensuring drill and blasting standards are followed. Move and Operate Drill – move drill to designated location and operate unit to drill blast holes. Inspect and Maintain Drill – maintain bits, hammers, steel tubes, inspect mechanisms, lubricants, and fluid levels; make minor repairs; coordinate with Operations Management on supplies inventory. Complete Reports – complete drilling and blasting reports as required. Train – train and direct drilling co-workers; provide specific drill task training as needed. Assist with Design – assist in drill and blast pattern design layout. Additional Responsibilities – other duties as assigned. Skills You’ll Need Experience in the Mining or Aggregates industry preferred; acceptable performance, maintenance, and safety history required. Flexibility – able to work overtime, extended hours, outside in all weather, and tolerate loud noises. Ready to Drive – must have or be able to obtain a Class B CDL License.
