Field Applications Engineer, Embedded Systems - NALA

We are looking for a highly motivated Field Applications Engineer to support our customers using NVIDIA's Jetson platform for embedded industrial use-cases! This role is for an individual who has shown leadership in supporting customers and is an experienced specialist in embedded systems, software, and application development. Your primary responsibility will be to partner with sales and support customer technical engagement, working cross functionally with our internal teams as well as our partner ecosystem. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a capacity to work independently are key success factors for this role.What you’ll be doing:Work with customers to develop a keen understanding of their system architectures, challenges, objectives, and technical needs – and help them define highly valued solutions that meet these needsBe the trusted advisor for our customers, help them with our Jetson SDK and edge AI inference software, supporting our sales partners and customersWork closely with the NVIDIA application and engineering teams to ensure customers are successful in developing their embedded systems, answer their questions directly, via email, and on the NVIDIA developer forumWork with customers to reproduce issues and help identify root causesProvide technical and sales training to ecosystem and channel partnersEstablish trusted relationships and communication channels with internal teamsWhat we need to see:BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience2+ years of work-related experience in a high-tech electronics industry in an embedded design role or technical customer support roleLinux, embedded SW and embedded application expertiseC, C++, and Python codingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and oral communications skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineeringStrong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into very complex projectsWays to stand out from the crowd:NVIDIA GPU development experiencegStreamer, ROS, and/or OpenCV experienceDeep Learning and/or AI experienceFunctional safety experienceYour base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
