Qualifications:

• Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS-I) credential required
• Prior experience in a self-contained classroom, preferably within an autism program
• Knowledge of IEP processes and differentiated instruction strategies
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of 9 students with autism, grades 3–5
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
• Maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment
• Work daily from 8:00am–3:15pm, with a 30-minute paid lunch
