Job Title: ED RN Nights Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:30 - 08:00) Experience: 3 years required, travel experience preferred License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, TNCC Must-Have: EPIC charting system experience required Preferred charge experience Description: This position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse working night shifts. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts each week. A minimum of three years of experience in an emergency room setting is required. Travel experience is preferred but first-time travelers with five years of experience will be considered. Candidates must have experience with the EPIC charting system. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, potentially increasing to 1:5 with lower acuity patients. The unit averages a daily census of 140 patients and is equipped with 46 beds. Patient demographics include all age groups. Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, and respiratory illnesses. Special equipment includes a Belmont in trauma, Giraffe warmer for neonates, rapid infuser, and Lucas for cardiac arrests. Every other weekend is required, and holiday shifts will be assigned as scheduled. Floating within the specialty may be required as needed. Scheduled on-call is not required. The position provides an opportunity to work with interdisciplinary support teams. Candidates should be comfortable managing a diverse patient population with various medical conditions. All required certifications must be met prior to start. Compliance with necessary onboarding processes is mandatory.
