Role Description The Clinical Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Smithtown, NY. This position supports clinical operations by assisting eye care providers with patient assessments, diagnostic testing, and documentation in accordance with clinical protocols and regulatory requirements. The Clinical Specialist helps ensure a high-quality patient care experience by clearly explaining procedures, preparing exam rooms, managing clinical equipment, and coordinating patient flow. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, supporting clinical research or quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with doctors, opticians, and retail team members to deliver seamless care. The Clinical Specialist may also contribute to training new team members on clinical procedures, patient communication, and safety standards. Qualifications Strong Communication skills, including clear patient interaction and effective collaboration with clinical and retail teams. Foundational knowledge in Medicine and eye care practices, with the ability to support clinical decision-making and compliance with standards. Training experience, with the ability to guide and support colleagues in clinical workflows and patient care procedures. Research and Clinical Research skills to assist with data collection, quality improvement projects, or practice-based studies. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, record-keeping, and use of clinical systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining quality and safety. Prior experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare clinical setting preferred. Relevant clinical certification or associate/bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
