Van Truckload Driver Instructor
Home time: Daily
Experience: 12 months or greater CDL experience
Job Responsibilities
+ Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers.
+ Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.
+ Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.
+ Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.
+ Teach driving skills that align with Schneider's guidelines and materials.
+ Show drivers how to use Schneider's electronic tablets and workflow system.
+ Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
+ Evaluate and provide updates on candidates who are not meeting expectations.
+ Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider.

+ Previous instructor or training experience preferred.
+ Strong coaching and mentoring skills.

+ Able to learn, demonstrate and train Schneider's company policies and procedures.
Driver Qualifications
+ Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
+ DOT physical card.
+ Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
+ Live within 50 miles of Phoenix, AZ.
