About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days, Friday-Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in trauma cases - Scrubbing required for Operating Room RN Description: Hiring Process includes profile review and interview with the unit manager. Week of orientation requires clinicians to be in-state. The operating room consists of 17 suites. The average number of cases per day is 35 on weekdays and 10 on weekends. Common cases include orthopedic, neuro, and general surgeries. There are no charge nurse or house supervisor responsibilities. Shifts are scheduled from 7 am to 7 pm on weekends. No weeknight or call requirements are necessary. Holiday staffing is mandatory if scheduled on a weekend. Call response time is 30 minutes. There are no floating requirements for this position. The dress code is unit specific. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment. The charting system used is EPIC. BSN degree is not required. This is an acute care setting with a trauma level of 1.
