Behavioral Health Billing Supervisor
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Billing Supervisor responsible for billing Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance for behavioral health services. The Behavioral Health Billing Supervisor develop procedures and provide supervision, direction, and oversight for the billing, coding, and provider paneling functions.
This position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are no weekends, on call, or holiday requirements for this position. This position is remote with some in-person meeting requirements within Kent County.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in Health Information Technology or related field.
- Certification as a biller or coder from an accredited organization.
- At least 3-5 years of medical billing and/or coding experience.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing a business function.
- Supervisory experience.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
Any combination of education, training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
