Unit Name: Cath Lab
Building: Main Hospital
Cost Center: 746
Number of Hospital Beds: 2 Cath Lab Suites
Patient Ratios: 4 person team per 1 patient

Staffing and Equipment

Unit Staffing Description: Cath Lab Scrub Techs are assigned per case.
Type of Equipment: GE Cath Lab Equipment, IVUS, VOLCANO
Documentation System: Merge-Cath Lab Application and Meditech

Scheduling and Policies

Scheduling Requirements: Call required 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days per week.
Floating Policy: May include responsibilities in Cath Lab and OP Stress Test (approximately 40 per week).

Certifications and Qualifications

Certifications Required: KY Rad Tech licensure, BLS, ACLS for Cath Lab RNs and Techs; Techs must hold valid ARRT and RCIS certification for KY.
Required Skills: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience and 1 year of Cath Lab travel experience.

Diagnostic and Interventional Catheterization
Left Heart Catheterization
Right Heart Catheterization
Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs)
Cardioversion
Pacer Implants
Defibrillator Implants
TILT Tests
Stress Tests

Dress Code

Solid color scrubs are required.
