South Central Illinois Mass Transit District in is actively seeking a responsible and motivated part-time Driver to provide safe and reliable public transportation to the communities we serve. If yes, read on about this driving opportunity! This part-time public transportation position earns a competitive starting wage of $17 an hour (for non CDL) and $17.50 an hour (for CDL with passenger endorsement) plus a $0.50 increase after 90 days. As you interact with the public, you maintain a cheerful and friendly demeanor. You adhere to traffic laws as you drive your route to pick up and drop of our community members. As needed, you sanitize and clean vehicles to ensure clients have a pleasant experience riding with us.
