Job Title: Assembler (1st Shift) ($20.00/hr.)

Job Description

The Assembler builds conveyor systems for the e-commerce industry by following detailed work instructions, using hand and power tools, and ensuring all products meet quality standards. This role works on a production floor performing repetitive and precise mechanical assembly tasks, interpreting basic drawings, and accurately recording production data. The schedule runs from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, with regular opportunities for overtime paying time and a half. Responsibilities

• Assemble conveyor systems and related components for the e-commerce industry according to written work instructions and basic drawings.
• Insert rods into hand presses and operate hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks.
• Follow detailed written work instructions and complete all required quality and production documents accurately.
• Label conveyors and apply stickers correctly according to specifications.
• Accurately post transactions and production activity using shop floor data collection devices.
• Interpret basic mechanical drawings, measurements, and instructions to ensure correct assembly.
• Inspect assembled products to verify quality and identify any defects or issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic assembly and fitment issues during the build process.
• Perform repetitive and monotonous assembly tasks while maintaining focus, accuracy, and speed.
• Use tape measures and other measuring tools to confirm correct dimensions and alignment.
• Handle, lift, and move materials and components, regularly lifting up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally heavier items with proper technique.
• Stand, walk, reach, and use hands for extended periods to complete assembly operations safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work overtime as needed to support production demands and customer delivery schedules.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled production facility focused on assembling conveyor systems. Work is primarily performed on your feet, requiring regular standing and walking, frequent use of hands to handle parts and tools, and reaching with hands and arms throughout the shift. You will regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally handle items up to 100 pounds using proper techniques and assistance when needed. The position involves operating hand and power tools, using tape measures and inspection tools, and working with shop floor data collection devices. The standard schedule runs from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, with overtime expected based on production needs. The facility maintains a production-focused, safety-conscious environment where employees follow established procedures and collaborate closely with their team to meet quality and delivery goals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Clinton, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
