Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Float Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical Float team. This position involves providing nursing care to a diverse patient population, ranging from adults to geriatrics, across various units within the facility. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in Medical Surgical and Medical Surgical Telemetry environments.
- Float to different units as needed, ensuring adaptability and teamwork across the organization.
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation and communication.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines in patient management, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and willingness to float to various units, including potential travel to nearby locations.
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00).
- Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend, averaging 6 weekends in a 13-week contract.
- Holiday Expectation: Required to work one major holiday if it falls within the assignment; two holidays are expected if both occur during the assignment period.
- Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary for timely start.
- Full compliance is required prior to beginning orientation; delays in compliance may result in rescheduling.
- All scrubs must be navy blue while on duty.
