The Restoration Technician performs production processes to fulfill the service needs of individual restoration projects and maintains the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment, as well as an assigned service vehicle. Primary Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage and fire damage. Evaluate and perform restoration activities, including but not limited to water extraction, fire damage repair, set‑up of specialty equipment, and demolition. Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project. Effectively communicate safety hazards, job‑site findings, equipment, and tool requirements to supervisors. Adhere to safety and risk‑management guidelines at all times. Perform end‑of‑day/end‑of‑job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance. Position Requirements Valid California driver’s license of at least 2 years. Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law. Effective oral communication with basic math and technology skills. Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred but not required. IICRC certifications are a plus. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry objects. Ability to work with and around cleaning products and chemicals. Willingness to work occasional on‑call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary. Pay Rate Starts at $20–28 per hour based on experience, with possibility of overtime pay and increases based on merit.
