Position Summary

The plant nurse practitioner is the manager of the Medical Department with administrative duties and responsibilities in directing assigned staff and supporting plant goals and objectives. He or she must be qualified to advise and counsel plant management on occupational health matters as described in the Health Services Manual.

This is a PRN position in the OH location.

Essential Functions

• The on-site occupational provider shall be licensed to practice medicine in the State where assigned, preferably Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, or on track toward certification with three years of experience in Occupational Medicine.
• Lead the respective medical department with attendant administrative duties and responsibilities in the direction of the assigned staff. Provide advice and counsel to management on Occupational Health matters as described in the Stellantis Health Services Manual. Collaboration with RNs is required; RNs are managed by Corporate Medical.
• Support the Scope of Services referenced above.
• Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA record keeping and compliance.
• Manage disability and workers’ compensation cases.
• Respond to emergencies anywhere on the plant premises and participate in emergency drills.
• Provide advisory and consulting services to Plant Management, Chief Physician, and Corporate Medical Operations in a timely manner to assist Stellantis in Occupational Medicine Services.
• Maintain clinical responsibilities for employee health at respective plant locations, including understanding the working environment, materials, processes, and preventive measures to protect worker health. Conduct periodic physical exams to determine work capacity and monitor health.
• Assist in the implementation of medical programs and procedures compliant with federal and state regulatory standards as outlined in the Stellantis Health Services Manual.
• Adhere to high standards of professional ethics and comply with all applicable state and federal laws governing medical or nursing practice.
• Monitor preventive maintenance on medical equipment and direct staff to implement corrective action as required.
• Provide regular audits of supplies and equipment as needed.
• Participate in chart audits.
• Provide coverage at other local plants as needed to ensure priority coverage.
• Transfer to other local plants to meet business needs as required.
• Support or provide telemedicine visits to other plants as needed.
• Attend a health and safety conference annually as required.
• Willingness to train in the use of Cority, the electronic medical record system, if not already proficient.

Final compensation will be based on relevant factors including work experience, skills, certifications, and internal equity.

Requirements

• Unrestricted IN state license to practice as an NP.
• 3 years of Occupational Medicine experience as an NP, preferably in an industrial setting; experience in Emergency Room or Urgent Care within the last year will be considered.
• Knowledge of and experience working with OSHA and workers’ compensation.
