Description Health Unit Coordinator - Postpartum at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Part Time and will work 8-hour, Night shifts. Primarily responsible for the clerical/receptionist activities on the patient care unit. Works under general supervision and direction of the department director, manager, supervisor or charge nurse and according to established policies and procedures. Transcribes physicians' orders, schedules diagnostic tests and therapies for patients, assembles and maintains patient charts, answers telephone, relays other calls and messages and maintains appropriate supplies and equipment levels. Coursework/Training: Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications EPIC patient registration, accommodation change, and patient discharge experience Postpartum, Labor and Delivery OR Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic experience 1 year of Clerical experience. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
