Experienced Commercial Door & Hardware Installer

Full-Time | Commercial Construction | Starting at $20/Hour

About the Position

Newstone is looking for an experienced Commercial Door & Hardware Installer to join our team. We specialize in installing commercial doors, frames, hardware, toilet partitions, toilet accessories and etc.

We are looking for someone who already knows the trade, has strong carpentry skills, is mechanically inclined, and takes pride in quality workmanship. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well with others, and can be counted on to get the job done right.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware according to construction plans and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit, adjust, and secure doors and frames for proper installation and operation.
• Install and adjust commercial door hardware.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, door schedules, and installation details.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
• Identify and troubleshoot installation problems.
• Work alongside the foreman and other crew members to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain quality workmanship and a clean, safe job site.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers, contractors, and customers.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous commercial door, frame, and hardware installation experience required.
• Strong carpentry skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, measuring, and layout.
• Ability to read construction plans and follow installation specifications.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy doors, frames, and construction materials.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to showing up ready to work.
• Ability to work well with a team and independently when needed.
• Willingness to work extended hours when project schedules require it.
• Willingness to travel and stay out of town for at least one week at a time when projects require it.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel to various job sites, including overnight stays away from home for a week or longer when needed. Applicants must be comfortable with the travel requirements and flexible scheduling associated with commercial construction projects.

Pay & Compensation

• Starting pay of $20 per hour, with higher pay based on experience and qualifications.
• Full-time position with an established commercial installation team.
