The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in a specialty clinic, providing clinical support and ensuring smooth patient flow by handling patient intake, measuring vital signs, and documenting medical histories. Working under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Clinic Supervisor, the Medical Assistant helps maintain accurate electronic health records and prepares examination rooms to meet clinic standards. This role typically handles a moderate patient volume of 10-20 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake and gather vital signs accurately
• Document patient medical histories and update electronic health records
• Provide clinical support during patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure clinical supplies are stocked
• Assist with patient communication and coordination within the clinic

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in medical assisting
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Phlebotomy skills and Electronic Health Record (EHR) management
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of patient communication, clinical procedures, and medical terminology
• Experience with insurance verification
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and team collaboration skills
