Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Mids Shift (11:00–23:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Weekends Required | Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting, including patients across the age spectrum with some pediatric experience expected
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for emergency patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
• Float within scope of practice to other units as staffing needs require
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
• Adhere to all facility compliance, safety, and infection control policies

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required; at least 1 year in a Level 1 Trauma Center or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma Center, including some pediatric experience
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required prior to start
• TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending, but must obtain before start date)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Experience in a high-volume or academic medical center Emergency Department
• Trauma nursing experience at a Level 1 or Level 2 facility
