If you are seeking a rewarding and fulfilling job, we are currently hiring for the position of Developmental Therapist .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Developmental Therapist at DSC you will work within a comprehensive, community-based, family-centered early intervention program to provide developmental therapy to young children with disabilities or delay in the areas of cognitive, adaptive and self-care development. The Developmental Therapist is responsible for participation in the IFSP process, home-based developmental intervention, team collaboration with other therapists and participation in Family Development Center program planning. Additionally, you will assist/lead play groups activities, parent education programs and other Family Development Center functions as requested.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Child Development or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- State of Illinois Early Intervention credential or willingness to complete credential.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers within a developmental, family-centered perspective.
- Knowledge of community resources and services.
- Reliable transportation with adequate insurance.
- Bi-lingual, Spanish speaker preferred.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination required.
- 40 hours a week
