Salary FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $115,000 – $125,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity. As a member of the FUCHS Smart Services team, you will be part of an exciting new community focused on providing our customers with world-class lubrication solutions that help push our customers forward. The Operations Manager plays a vital role in driving the execution of FUCHS digital and service solutions under the Smart Services product line in the US. Working closely with FUCHS’ Sales and Technical colleagues, you will understand our customers’ needs to facilitate profitable service solutions in your respective territory. This position is based at our corporate office in Harvey, IL, and reports to the Director of Smart Services. The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Smart Services Managers and their respective territories in exceeding our customer expectations through our Smart Services offering, while also ensuring profitable account performance is being maintained as we accelerate our growth. We are looking for someone who will bring the energy, enthusiasm, and results-focused approach necessary to meet our aggressive targets. Overall performance management of the US Smart Services Operations team, including customer reporting and communication to ensure service performance meets or exceeds expectations Ensure compliance with Smart Services operational KPIs, divisional Smart Goals, and service delivery standards Day-to-day leadership and coaching of Service Managers, fostering accountability and continuous improvement Oversee the development of new business opportunities with new and existing customers in collaboration with Service Managers and Sales team members Lead the hiring, onboarding, and training of Service Managers and Supervisors, ensuring alignment with FUCHS values and service excellence Drive operational efficiency through process standardization, resource optimization, and technology enablement Support the implementation of digital tools and platforms to enhance service visibility, reporting, and customer engagement Conduct regular performance reviews and territory audits to ensure consistent service quality and profitability Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve escalated customer issues and implement corrective actions Meet and exceed fiscal financial targets, including territory‑level profitability and cost control Cultivate a high‑performance culture that encourages team member development, retention, and succession planning Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline 3-5 years of managerial experience in operations, field services, or industrial service delivery Strong technical knowledge of industrial process operations (e.g., wastewater treatment, wash systems, lubricants & lubrication) Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple territories Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisions Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or service management platforms is a plus Ability to travel approximately 50% across the US territories Demonstrated success in managing KPIs, budgets, and operational targets in a fast‑paced environment Benefits FUCHS offers an excellent compensation package and a comprehensive suite of benefits.
