Payment Processing Specialist

NOTE: Only accepting applicants located in Denver, CO Cash Management & Customer Support Specialist Our banking client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to provide support to internal and external customers while processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently. This role works within a collaborative team environment, managing daily workloads, meeting deadlines, resolving customer inquiries, and supporting cash management activities. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a sense of urgency, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to learn and navigate multiple systems. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the farm credit and financial services environment while developing expertise in payment processing, cash management, and customer service. Typical Volume: Approximately 144 accounts processed daily Type: 6 month contract (potential to extend or convert) Schedule: 1 day/month in office and as needed, mostly remote Target Pay: 20.00/hr W2 Key Responsibilities Perform designated cash management activities within established timeframes and in accordance with documented policies and procedures. Process financial transactions and customer requests with a high degree of accuracy and quality. Process ACH requests through the Automated Cash Concentration application and perform account analysis. Provide general customer service and support to the bank's internal and external customers. Research and analyze transactions, identify potential issues, and understand the impact of processing errors. Maintain accurate records and use case tracking systems to document, monitor, and follow up on customer inquiries. Complete specialized customer-specific reporting. Resolve customer and business issues in accordance with established procedures and elevate issues when appropriate. Maintain a positive customer experience while working within tight deadlines and daily processing requirements. Participate in process improvement initiatives by learning and applying best-practice methodologies, including root cause analysis. Serve as Mission Critical Personnel during business continuity events or reduced-staffing scenarios. Work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Two or more years of experience, preferably in banking, financial services, customer service, payment processing, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with back-office processing (ACH) Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn and retain new information quickly. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet daily deadlines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to navigate and work effectively across multiple technology systems.
