Reporting to the supervisor, this position focuses on maximizing equipment quality, uptime, rate, and yield. This role is ideal for individuals with strong electrical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical issues while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.3rd Shift: 6:45pm - 7:15amWhat You'll DoPerform electrical maintenance on production equipment while following all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocolsVerify all guards and safety devices are properly installed and functional before returning equipment to operationMonitor inventory levels of parts, equipment, and supplies; place orders and verify receipts as neededUtilize manual and computerized maintenance management systems to track, inspect, and report equipment statusRead and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment and machineryTroubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and quality issues, escalating concerns when necessaryPerform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and changeover tasks on production equipmentIdentify and report safety, quality, operational, or output issues when unable to resolve independentlyObserve mechanical devices in operation and use precision instruments to diagnose and resolve problemsFabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipmentMaintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulationsOperate powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and portable cranes as requiredSupport continuous improvement initiatives and participate in problem-solving activitiesComply with OSHA safety standards, including hazard communication, lockout procedures, and ergonomic guidelinesPromote a culture of health and safety in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirementsPerform additional duties as assigned by the supervisorWho You AreMinimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance roleHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent mechanical or electrical training preferredProficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and interpretation of technical drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in electrical systems and PLCsAbility to communicate effectively in English and perform basic math calculationsProven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environmentAbility to pass job-related testing, an employment physical, and a post-offer drug screenStrong teamwork skills with a collaborative and results-oriented mindsetPhysical AbilitiesRegularly lift and/or move up to 50 poundsStand or walk for extended periods throughout the work shiftBend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, and reach in all directions as requiredPerform additional physical demands as necessary to support job dutiesWhat You'll GetAtlas Tube at Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
