Lead Preschool Teacher

COME JOIN OUR PRESCHOOL TEAM! The Greater HYMCA is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to be part of a team of three teachers for our younger preschool classroom. We are seeking an individual who has strong classroom management and communication skills, is able to support and work well alongside others and has a passion for nurturing young minds. Our preschool provides a program that focuses on the social and emotional growth of children, through implementation of a play-based curriculum. This position is 40 hours per week. Candidates must be EEC Lead teacher certified and have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a classroom teacher. Requirements Knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods. Overseeing the planning and implementing curriculum which promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development with the support of the classroom team. Establishing positive relationships, interactions, and communication between children, staff, and families. Work as a supportive team member within the classroom and center. Ability to work with and give direction to other teachers within the classroom. Attend training, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities. Responsible for tracking and gathering evidence of each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth for assessment purposes. Maintain both daily, weekly and monthly written and verbal communication with parents/guardians as applicable. Ability to lift 30 lbs. and sit on the floor with children. #J-18808-Ljbffr Holyokeymca
