This is a union contracted 180 day position with compensation according to contract. Qualifications

1. Prior experience working in a comparable position preferred.
2. Certified in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI); if successful applicant is not currently CPI certified, training will be provided

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience with children who have emotional behavioral concerns preferred. Experience with de-escalation preferred. Ability to assist in transitioning students into the general education setting. Ability to collect and monitor data as part of a behavior plan. Ability to work with a diverse team of teachers. Ability to work in an environment with children who may have emotional and physical outbursts. Other Responsibilities As outlined in the standard Teacher Assistant job description.
