Recreation Therapist

Position Summary As a Midwest Center Recreation Therapist you will utilize professional training to provide appropriate treatment to the patient and their families. In conjunction with a transdisiplinary team, you will complete an assessment of the patient's condition, and formulate and implement individualized recreational goals. You will provide and coordinate therapeutic recreation programming, and manage cases in conjunction with the DBT programming model. Responsibilities Provide activities to meet the individual needs of our patients following a program group schedule. Plan, organize, and implement outings. Complete skills assessment to evaluate level of functioning within 10 days of admission. A minimum of two years of related work experience, with knowledge of mental health diagnoses preferred.
