JOB SUMMARY The Human Resources Assistant/Safety Coordinator manages the day-to-day administration of the City's Human Resources operations and employee safety program. The position administers recruitment, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, personnel records, safety initiatives, workers' compensation, and regulatory compliance while assisting the Human Resources Director with strategic Human Resources planning and organizational initiatives. The position exercises independent judgment in carrying out assigned responsibilities and serves as a resource to supervisors and employees regarding Human Resources policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Recruitment & Employment Coordinate recruitment activities including posting vacancies, receiving employment applications, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
