Make an impact every day as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students in a dynamic school environment near Mesquite, TX! This full-time, contract opportunity runs from now until May 28, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours at a single, assigned campus. You'll play an essential role in fostering growth and learning for students with specialized needs.

You’ll have the chance to focus on a caseload that matches your expertise and passion, whether working in a life skills classroom, an autism classroom, a behavior-focused setting, or supporting the academic core for students with diverse learning abilities. Classroom settings are primarily self-contained, featuring small group rotations and integration into general school activities such as Art and PE.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) certification
• Recent experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in elementary education
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs), progress monitoring, and differentiation strategies
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Ability to pass required fingerprinting through the Texas Education Agency (must be completed and cleared prior to start)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging instruction within a specialized classroom setting
• Adapting curriculum and instruction to meet each student’s IEP goals
• Collaborating with general education teachers, related services, and families
• Supporting students during all phases of the school day, including academic, social, and extracurricular activities
• Collecting data and maintaining documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
