JOB OVERVIEW:

The Field Service Technician applies diversified knowledge of Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs), and Remote Power Panels (RPPs) from Raptor Power Systems to complete startup, testing, troubleshooting, modifications, operation, and maintenance work. The Technician will be homebased and dispatched to customer sites as required. This role requires travel up to 75%.

JOB LOCATION:

Abilene, TX (High-travel role; Applicant can be based out of Abilene Area or surrounding; Times of high-travel will include physically working in locations within the U.S. that will vary by customer need on an active, non-regular schedule, which can include weekends; Times of low-travel can include working from home, working at various internal Company sites, recruiting locally for additional team members, and attending relevant training programs locally/remotely.)

JOB DUTIES:

- Startup and commissioning of new units.

- Maintenance and Repair: Responsible for maintaining and providing emergency support for Raptor Power Systems equipment at customer sites within the regional coverage area.

- Modifications: Implement field modifications, follow procedures generated from the back office, and provide feedback on said procedures as needed.

- Training and Development: Attend periodic training at Raptor Power Systems headquarters on various OEM units and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including testing equipment and rebuilding older systems.

- Troubleshooting: Work with the technical support group to troubleshoot maintenance or operational issues with equipment.

- Field Service Reporting: Generate Field Service Reports (FSRs) that are clear, professional, and completed in a timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Experience: Entry level welcome, will train, any weeks/months/years of experience in any role working with electricity, using a multi meter and or other test devices Is helpful but not required.

- Technical Skills: Utilize hand tools and test equipment to perform work.

- Valid driver’s license: Must have a valid drivers license and a driving record without legal violations.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong customer relation skills. ESL is welcome, must be able to read, write, understand and verbally communicate in English with full language proficiency.

- Customer Service: Provide a high level of quality customer service and complete Field Service Reports in a timely manner.

- Autonomous: Ability to work independently and exhibit resourcefulness.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform repeated bending and lifting of up to 70 lbs. during certain procedures.

- Flexibility: Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary.

- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of general computer hardware and software applications, however we will train if knowledge is less than general.

- Education: Preferred associate degree in electronics, EST, or equivalent military experience required, however we will train and welcome entry levels of differing educational backgrounds than stated, to apply.

COMPENSATION:

SALARY & BENEFITS:

• Annual Salary: $55,000 annual salary, plus overtime paid for physical hours worked and reported after 40 hours are physically worked. Employees are responsible for tracking and reporting overtime hours for them to be paid. Overtime hours reported by Employees are regularly audited by Department Leader and Human Resources. Payroll payments are issued every Friday.

- Employment Performance: Employee will be evaluated for performance and progress of role development as well as following instructions of new role, over first 90-days of employment for continuous employment past 90 days, by Department Leader. Additionally, opportunities to advance, over time, to the next level role of Field Service Technician.
