Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, treats, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. They develop and implement individualized care plans to improve patient outcomes while adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients using standardized tools and evidence-based practices to determine communication, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Develop, execute, and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical evaluations.
• Document patient assessments, treatment sessions, and discharge summaries accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers to coordinate care and provide counseling.
• Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Hold CCC certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Possess active licensure and meet state licensing requirements in Missouri.
• Have at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.
• Be knowledgeable of ASHA standards and ethical practice guidelines.
• Ability to obtain necessary DME or supplies per clinical requirements.
• New graduates with Level II experience are eligible.
